FOR THE LOVE OF A LHASA RESCUE INC is a 501c.3 non profit rescue group dedicated to rescuing Lhasa Apsos, Shih Tzus, Maltese and other small fluff breed dogs from puppymills, shelters and owner surrenders. We consist of a small group of volunteers that give freely of our time to save as many Lhasa Apsos, Shih Tzus, Maltese and other small dog breeds and their mixes as our funds and foster space allow.
All the many hours all volunteers associated with the rescue of dogs with FTLOAL since our start in the summer of 2005 is donated by the volunteers.

All dogs rescued by FTLOAL are fostered in loving private homes until adoption. We never board our dogs in kennels. Our dogs receive all needed vet care including vaccinations, neuter or spay, dentals, heartworm testing with treatment for heartworms if the dog test positive, blood chemistry and major medical care including surgery if the dog has additional health issues. All dogs rescued by FTLOAL receive regular grooming.
